Summer Earning Potential
- SEASONAL COMPENSATION -
There are a number of factors that
go into the total amount an employee can earn during our summer
season. The amount of hours worked, the job description and the
rate of pay will determine the actual amount of money an
employee can earn. In addition, overtime, tips and incentives
will also affect earning potential.
Based upon a twelve-week, 40-50 hour workweek, an average employee may expect to earn from $5,500 to $6,500 per Summer. Last season, some of the Boardwalk's college-level employees earned between $7,000 and $7,500 because they honored their contract, received
incentives and worked 50-60 hours per week in season. If you are serious about working a Summer Job, the opportunity to make money is here.
Incentive Program for the Summer Season
Our Season
begins in May and doesn’t end until October. In order to be
fully-staffed at both the beginning of our season AND the final
weekends… incentives will be made available to our full-time*
college employees who fulfill the requirements of their
individual Contract for Employment. This contract is completed by
each college employee, showing their starting and ending dates for
full-time employment and their commitment to work the majority of
our busy weekends… Opening Weekend,
Memorial Day, Labor Day, “Island
New Year”, Historical Weekend, Clambake Weekend… October Wine
Festival and OKTOBERFEST.
(* full-time
employment is 45 hours per week)
Our incentives are designed to keep
our business operating with adequate staff during those beginning
and ending weekends… It’s based on fulfilling an important part of
your summer job requirements by making yourself available to work a
majority of these important weekends!
