A
buffet-style concession that offers Live Maine Lobster, Fresh
Shrimp, Alaskan King Crab and a variety of grilled and cold sandwich
items. Beer and Wine are also served at this location. Book's
Seafood is the Boardwalk's premier front-line food concession,
employing approximately 12 people. Employees are expected to be
high-energy individuals, who are people-oriented with an emphasis on
speed and quality. Shift Supervisor position is usually a returning
employee who has functioned in the other food service positions with
a measurable amount of success.
Front Line Server — $7.00 to $8.50 per hour
Grillman — $7.00 to $8.50 per hour
Shift Supervisor — $8.50 to $10.00 per hour
THE LITTLE GALLERY -
This is
the Boardwalk's first food concession. A simple, yet high volume
burger and fries operation that employs 5 people. Everybody wants a burger!
Also serving Hot Dogs and Chicken Tenders!
Register/Galley — $7.00 to $8.50 per hour
Supervisor — $8.50 to $9.00 per hour
THE FISH
SHAK -
Fresh Lake Perch, Walleye and Fried Shrimp are the feature menu items, along with French fries, onion rings and other fare. This is
a busy food concession, where the fish is prepared each day fresh-dipped in our own batter. We employ 5
to 6 people at this concession.
Register/Food Prep — $7.00 to $8.50 per hour
Supervisor — $8.50 to $9.00 per hour
BAR AND BEVERAGE SERVICE
$4.00 to $4.75/hour -
The Boardwalk
and The UPPER DECK will provide our customers with full bar service and live entertainment.
TIPS training and bartending experience will be a requirement.
Checking IDs, great customer service, always greeting each guest
with a SMILE and an ability to deal with intoxicated/unruly behavior
is also an important responsibility for those in Bar Service
DECK DUTY/BUSSER
$8.00 to $8.50/hour

Cleaning and setting up tables for the day's business, keeping them
cleared and clean for our patrons, hourly restroom checks, sweeping,
stocking napkins...are the main parts to this job. Most important,
keeping the BOARDWALK MAIN DECK looking neat and clean so that our customer's
first impression is a good one...Some employees prefer this
stress-free, active outdoor position.
LINE COOK $8.50 to $10.00/hour

An
independent thinker who enjoys cooking with responsibilities to
include preparing menu items consistently and to your Manager's
expectations, as well as your customer's specifications. This
person must possess knowledge of safe food handling and food
preparation. You will be required to adhere to the highest
standards of quality and consistency.
KITCHEN STAFF $7.50 to $9.00/hour

Under the direction of the Kitchen Manager, you will be working
closely with the Line Cooks, learning the proper preparation and
portions of menu items. Maintaining a clean and sanitary
working environment is also an important part of this job
description. "Clean As You Go" will be very important in the
day-to-day operation of our new kitchen.
SERVER $4.00 to $4.75/hour

are critical in this one-on-one customer service position. A
commitment to each guest to provide a 100% positive dining
experience is required. Verifying each order, accurately
relaying them to the kitchen and checking back to assure their
satisfaction is key.
UPPER DECK
FOOD RUNNER/BUSSER $7.00 to $7.50/hour

Primary job will be running food orders to the proper tables and
checking order accuracy before leaving the Kitchen of the
Boardwalk's new UPPER DECK Restaurant.
Cleaning, setting up tables for the day's business, bussing and
resetting tables, helping refill beverages and water will also be
your responsibility. Hourly restroom checks, sweeping, keeping
the restaurant looking neat and clean so that the first impression
is a positive one will also be the duty of this active position.
BOARDWALK MARINA GAS DOCK -
This
outdoor position involves a number of marina tasks. Assisting the
customer with marine fueling, pump-out service, dockage and mooring
buoy rentals are the primary responsibilities of the Dockhand job
description. The Dock Master position is usually a returning
employee who has functioned in the Dockhand position with a
measurable amount of success. Added responsibilities of recording
dock reservations, fuel sales, etc. are all part of the dock
master's job.
Dockhand — $7.00 to $7.50 per hour
Dock Master — $7.00 to $7.50 per hour
HARBOR LAUNCH OPERATOR - $8.50 to $10.50/hour The
Boardwalk operates three 26’ Downeast-style
harbor launches. The launches provide taxi service to over 80
mooring buoys that are located in our harbor. A launch operator
must be 18 year old with enough small boat experience to obtain a
limited-scope Coast Guard license. This is a skilled position for
that individual who meets the above criteria.

The Boardwalk
serves hundreds of people on an daily basis and maintenance of the area is an important job. Rubbish removal,
making freight runs, stocking dry goods and beverages and helping to unload delivery trucks are all part of this diverse job description.
